Qualifications

• 4+ years of Equity Research experience in a buy-side firm with prior coverage of the Telecom sector.
• Strong capabilities in financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental analysis.
• Experience with Bloomberg, Visible Alpha, and similar databases.
• Exposure to data, automation, or AI-enabled research workflows.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and update financial models, forecasts, and valuation frameworks

We are seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to join our Research team in India with a primary focus on the Telecom sector in the US to support Senior Portfolio Manager (SPM) by providing high-quality research and analytical support

In this role, you will work on financial modeling, forecasting, company and industry research, earnings analysis, database maintenance, and thematics. You will also use internal AI and research tools to improve efficiency, automate repeatable workflows, and enhance the quality and timeliness of research output.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation frameworks
• Analyze quarterly results, company disclosures, earnings transcripts, management commentary, and key operating drivers
• Conduct fundamental company and industry research to support investment analysis
• Monitor news flow, industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes relevant to the sector / companies
• Maintain and update internal databases, comparable company trackers, and recurring research materials
• Support thematic analysis, sector work, cross-company comparisons, and screening exercises

AI and Research Tools

• Leverage internal AI and research tools to drive efficiency across research workflows
• Use approved tools to support tasks such as news tracking, transcript summarization, document synthesis, data extraction, and research preparation
• Help automate repetitive, manual tasks while ensuring that analyst judgment, validation, and accountability remain central to final outputs
• Contribute to the adoption of AI-enabled workflows and best practices within the research team

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Equity Research experience in a buy-side firm (preferably Hedge Fund) with prior coverage of the Telecom sector is mandatory
• Strong capabilities in financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental analysis
• Hands-on experience with databases such as Bloomberg, Visible Alpha, etc.
• Exposure to data, automation, or AI-enabled research workflows
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High level of ownership, professionalism, and intellectual curiosity

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong academic record: CFA or progress toward CFA is a plus
• Experience working with global teams across multiple geographies
