Job summary

Your Future Employer in Pune is seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to support a US‑based equity research team covering the US IT Services & Technology sector. You will build end-to-end financial models, prepare research notes, and deliver high-quality analysis for client requirements from Pune.

The role requires strong financial modelling, valuation, and accounting knowledge, with exposure to US IT Services sector research preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct sector and company research, aggregate data, and provide analysis for client requirements.
• Develop and maintain sector databases and prepare/update marketing presentations.
• Leverage FactSet and Bloomberg to source, analyse, and validate information.

Equity Research Analyst - US IT Services - 3+ Years - Pune

We are looking for an experienced Equity Research professional with strong expertise in financial modelling, equity research, accounting, and valuation to support a US‑based sell-side equity research analyst covering the US IT Services & Technology sector. The role involves building end-to-end financial models, preparing research notes, maintaining sector databases, and delivering high-quality analysis for client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Building end-to-end financial models for initiation of coverage and updating models for earnings, company events, and changing business assumptions.
• Contributing to initiation reports, earnings notes, sector updates, and other equity research publications.
• Conducting sector and company research, aggregating relevant data, and providing analysis in response to client‑specific requirements.
• Developing and maintaining sector and company databases while preparing and updating marketing presentations and supporting wall-cross assignments.
• Leveraging financial data platforms such as FactSet and Bloomberg to source, analyse, and validate company and sector information.

Requirements

• Possessing 35 years of relevant experience in Equity Research, Investment Research, or Financial Analysis, with candidates having 24 years of Equity Research experience being preferred.
• Demonstrating strong expertise in financial modelling, financial analysis, accounting concepts, and valuation methodologies.
• Having exposure to US IT Services / Technology sector research is preferred; candidates from other sectors with strong equity research experience may also be considered.
• Demonstrating excellent proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to build and maintain detailed financial models and databases.
• Possessing strong research writing, client management, communication, independent thinking, and time‑management skills.
