Job summary

Crescendo Global is seeking an Analyst for Equity Research in Pune and Chennai. You will work with a Research Analyst team to perform accounting-based proprietary valuation, maintain valuation models, and apply adjustments to determine true economic value of covered companies.

You will analyze financial statements, earnings calls, broker reports, and news flows to support valuation conclusions, with opportunities for global exposure and involvement in high-impact research projects.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Equity Research, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, and valuation methodologies.
• Experience working with equity valuation models and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Support the Research Analyst team in conducting accounting-based proprietary valuation.
• Assist in maintaining and updating proprietary equity valuation models for companies under coverage.
• Apply customized accounting adjustments to assess the true economic value of companies.
• Support Research Analysts during earnings season, including model updates and forecasting.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements and notes to accounts to ensure data accuracy.
• Analyze company presentations, earnings call transcripts, and broker reports to identify their impact on company valuations.
• Track and analyze news flows and daily share-price movements while maintaining relevant stock databases.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis of accounting parameters across companies and sectors.

Requirements

1. 4–6 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Equity Research, or a closely related field.
2. Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, and valuation methodologies.
3. Experience working with equity valuation models and financial data.
4. Strong analytical and research capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
5. Ability to interpret financial statements, company disclosures, earnings calls, and broker research.
6. Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial modelling.
7. Exposure to ESG analysis would be an added advantage.
