Mercor is seeking a Compensation & Equity Expert (Total Rewards) for a remote contract role. The job covers building salary bands and leveling frameworks, plus owning annual compensation cycles with merit, promotions, and bonus decisions.

The role involves benchmarking against peers, designing simple, credible incentive structures, and managing equity programs (options/RSUs) with 409A governance at a venture-backed company.

Qualifications

• Depth in compensation design & architecture or equity program management.
• Experience in compensation philosophy, benchmarking methodology, pay equity, and pay transparency.
• Compensation design for a global or contractor workforce at scale.
• Benefits program design, HRIS, and compensation tooling.
• Executive compensation, plan governance, or equity through IPO readiness.
