Job summary

Mercor, a remote-first firm, seeks a Strategic Finance Expert on a contract basis. You will build business cases, perform investment appraisals, and drive capital allocation decisions for a portfolio of projects.

You will develop scenario analyses, assess pricing economics, and conduct market sizing and cost savings analyses to support growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in strategic finance, corporate strategy, or corporate planning inside an operating company.
• Ownership of a capital or pricing decision that went to a leadership forum.
• Preferred: management consulting or Big 4 strategy background now in an operator seat.
• Preferred: growth equity background now in-house.
• Preferred: deal desk or pricing strategy experience.

Responsibilities

• Build business cases and investment appraisals using NPV, IRR, and payback for projects and decisions.
• Produce capital allocation determinations, ranking investments against hurdle rates with portfolio review.
• Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses of the corporate plan across demand, pricing, and cost.
• Analyze pricing and discount economics to support price setting and deal desk approvals with margin impact.
• Conduct market sizing and competitive landscape analysis, cohort and unit economics, and cost baseline and savings analysis for cost reduction programs.
