Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Strategic Finance Expert for a contract, remote role. You will build business cases, conduct investment appraisals, and drive capital allocation decisions across a portfolio of projects.

You will model scenarios, analyze pricing economics, and support deal desk approvals. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in strategic finance within operating companies and a track record of owning key capital or pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in strategic finance, corporate strategy, or corporate planning inside an operating company.
• Ownership of a capital or pricing decision that went to a leadership forum.

Responsibilities

• Build business cases and investment appraisals with NPV, IRR, and payback for projects and decisions.
• Produce capital allocation determinations ranking investments against hurdle rates with portfolio review.
• Build scenario and sensitivity analyses of the corporate plan across demand, pricing, and cost.
• Analyze pricing and discount economics supporting price setting and deal desk approvals with margin impact.
• Produce market sizing and competitive landscape analysis, cohort and unit economics, and cost baseline and savings analysis for a cost reduction program.
