Job summary

Kotak Securities (KSL) in India seeks an equity advisory professional to drive brokerage by guiding clients on long-term portfolios and short/medium-term stock ideas. You will build lasting client relationships to sustain retention and grow business, while supporting Relationship Managers to enhance overall performance.

You will stay updated on market trends and ensure activities comply with Compliance & Risk norms. Requires 3–4 years in equities advisory and relevant NSE/BSE/NISM certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Post graduate with 3–4 years total experience, 1–2 years in equities advisory.
• Sound understanding of capital markets.
• Result-oriented, self-starter and proactive.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Generate brokerage primarily through advising clients on their equity portfolios for long-term investments and short/medium-term ideas.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers to ensure high retention and new business.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to enhance overall business.
• Keep abreast of market knowledge and market intelligence.
• Ensure all activities comply with Compliance & Risk requirements.
• Provide regular updates to the immediate superior as required.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible to generate brokerage primarily through advising clients on their equity portfolio for long term investments as well as positional trading ideas in stocks for short/ medium term.
• Develop and maintain a long-term relationship with customers to maintain a high level of retention of the existing customer and also focus on generating new business.
• To maintain a synergetic relationship with Relationship Managers, by supporting their efforts to enhance business.
• To keep abreast with the market knowledge and market intelligence.
• Responsible to ensure all activities are in adherence as per Compliance & Risk.
• Provide regular updates to the immediate superior as and when required.

Skills & Knowledge

• Graduate / Post graduate with overall experience of 3-4 yrs, with minimum 1 -2 yrsexp in Equities on the client advisory side
• Should have sound understanding of capital markets,
• Should be a result-oriented, selfstarter, proactive
• Should possess strong networking & relationship building skills, and good communication skills.
• Should be certified in NSE Cash, NSE Derivatives, BSE Cash & NISM Currency Derivatives.
