Job summary

Daimler Truck AG in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, seeks a Senior Maintenance Leader to drive equipment reliability and uptime across production shops. You will lead cross-functional teams to eliminate recurrent failures and implement robust incident logging, root-cause analysis, and permanent countermeasures.

The role focuses on enhancing MTBF/MTTR, maintaining zero-accident operations, and coordinating with Production, ME, Quality, IT/OT, and OEM partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics or mechatronics engineering.
• 15+ years in maintenance with at least 3–5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong experience across Weld Shop, Paint Shop, Assembly, Powertrain (min 2 essential).
• Exposure to robots (KUKA, Yaskawa, Fanuc), PLCs (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens), Controls, Instrumentation, Machine tools.
• Knowledge of FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP /CMMS tools, and preferred digital platforms.

• Eliminate repeat failures and stabilise chronic problem areas impacting output.

• Develop technical capability, competency evaluation, and performance management of maintenance teams.
• Define and execute the annual equipment availability improvement plan.
