Job summary

MKS Atotech India seeks a Service Engineer – Equipment Support to deliver on-site equipment assistance to customers, leveraging strong electro‑mechanical knowledge. You will coordinate with the Service Manager – Equipment (Mysore location) and ensure timely responses to machine breakdowns.

You will execute preventive maintenance, upgrades, and training to customers, supporting regional teams and tech centers. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electro-mechanical engineering.
• 2–5 years of equipment support experience.
• Experience in electroplating/surface finishing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site equipment support to customers and respond to breakdowns.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and upgrades to maximize MTBF.
• Collaborate with product management, regional teams, and tech centers.
• Train customers on maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Travel up to 50% as required.

Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As Service Engineer – Equipment Support at MKS Atotech India, you will provide equipment support to assigned customers. This role requires good engineering knowledge of the latest Electro – Mechanical processes and use of advanced software functions in equipment control and operation. The primary objective is to provide timely support to the customers using MKS Atotech Equipment. In this role, you will report to the Service Manager – Equipment (Location : Mysore)

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Equipment Support : Providing equipment support to customers by providing immediate response and critical support on-site during machine breakdown to achieve the targeted MTTR. Plan and execute periodic preventive maintenance procedures, implement retrofit / upgradation of equipment whenever necessary to ensure targeted MTBF and machine availability
• Support to Auxillary equipment : Work closely with product management teams, Regional teams and Tech Centers and implement auxillary equipment strategy to ensure optimum chemistry performance at customers.
• Training : Provide necessary training to customer personnel to implement periodic maintenance schedules and resolve breakdowns.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, and partners in the region. Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Conduct regular customer visits and meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 50% of Travel is required.

Skills You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with Strong Electro – mechanical knowledge is required. Diploma Electronics Engineers with higher relevant experience could be considered.
• Experience with use of latest equipment control processes is required.
• 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in equipment support
• Experience in equipment support to Electroplating / surface finishing industry is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
