Job summary

Speed Global in Pune is seeking an experienced EPLAN Electrical Design Engineer to lead hardware design for electrical diagrams and to layout control panels and cable routing. The role involves preparing BOMs and ensuring compliance with CE safety and machine standards.

You will work with global and local R&D, plant, PM, installation, and commissioning teams during development and testing, applying strong analytical skills and hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical hardware design and BOM details.
• Experience in EPLAN circuit diagrams and load calculations is mandatory.
• Knowledge of PLC and safety standards is an added advantage.
• Interfaces with global and local R&D, plant, PM, installation and commissioning teams.
• Proactive, team player; able to work with Product development teams.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting.
• Willing to work hands-on during machine trials and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware diagrams using EPLAN P8.
• Layout control panels and cable routing drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare details for the bill of materials.
• Ensure CE safety and machine standards compliance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and maintain customer documentation.
• Prepare and maintain product documents.

J_1312 - EPLAN Electrical Design Engineer

Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for hardware design of an electrical circuit diagram using E-PLAN P8.
• Design the layout of the control and operator panels as well as cable routing drawings using the Auto CAD software.
• Responsible for preparing details for the bill of materials.
• Design and develop the system with CE safety and machine standards.
• Responsibilities include hardware design, preparation of the IO and BOM, panel design and calculation, a preliminary electrical schematic, coordination with cross-functional teams, preparation and maintenance of the customer documentation, and product documents.

Skills & Experience Required:

• 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Electrical hardware design, layout design and preparing details Bill of material list.
• Design experience of electrical E-plan circuit diagram and electrical load calculation is a must.
• Knowledge of PLC and safety standards has added advantage.
• Position Interfaces with: Global & Local R&D team, Plant, Project Management, Installation & Commissioning team.
• Proactive, team player – work with Product development team
• Good analytical skill for trouble shooting.
• Ready to work with his hands during machine trials and testing.
