Job summary

Evio in Mumbai seeks a Design Engineer (EPLAN) with 3–10 years of experience in industrial automation panel design. You will use EPLAN P8, AutoCAD, and electrical schematics to deliver panel engineering, BOMs, and project coordination.

You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and panel builders, prepare drawings (GA, SLD, wiring diagrams), and assist FAT and commissioning. Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–10 years of experience in industrial automation panel design and project execution.
• Proficiency in EPLAN P8, AutoCAD, electrical schematic design, panel engineering, and BOM generation.
• Experience coordinating with clients, vendors and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Panel Internal & External GA, SLDs, system configuration drawings, earthing schemes.
• Prepare EPLAN P8 drawings including PLC I/O diagrams, cable schedules, BOMs and drawings standardization.
• Coordinate with clients for inputs and clarifications; submit drawings for approval.
• Raise material indents, evaluate vendor quotations, and coordinate with Purchase for orders.
• Visit panel builders for quality inspections and FAT, and coordinate dispatch and invoicing.

Project Execution & Coordination

• Coordinate with clients to obtain detailed project design inputs and technical clarifications.
• Prepare and submit design drawings for client approval.
• Raise material indents and float RFQs to vendors.
• Perform technical evaluation of vendor quotations.
• Coordinate with the Purchase team for commercial negotiations and order placement.
• Follow up with vendors and procurement team for timely material delivery.
• Coordinate with panel builders to ensure timely panel manufacturing and delivery.
• Visit panel builders for quality inspections and prepare internal inspection reports.
• Coordinate and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with clients.
• Obtain dispatch clearances from clients/consultants.
• Prepare packing lists, obtain acknowledgements, and coordinate invoice preparation and dispatch arrangements.
• Report to the Design Engineer and, in their absence, to the Project Manager.

Education

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
