Job summary

Samvith Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in EPLAN software to lead electrical design for Special Purpose Machines. You will develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for automated systems.

You will collaborate with mechanical engineering and PLC teams, select components, ensure safety and standards compliance, and support commissioning and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for Special Purpose Machines or customized industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for SPM using EPLAN Electric P8.
• Prepare control panel layouts, BOM, and cable schedules.
• Design PLC-controlled systems with servo drives and sensors.
• Select components and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with mechanical, PLC, production and commissioning teams.
• Support electrical panel manufacturing, testing and commissioning.
• Revise drawings per engineering changes and customer requirements.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in EPLAN software and electrical design for Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, control panel design, PLC wiring, and electrical schematics for customized machinery and automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and wiring diagrams for SPM machines using EPLAN Electric P8.
• Prepare electrical drawings, control panel layouts, cable schedules, terminal plans, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Design electrical systems for PLC-controlled machines, servo drives, VFDs, sensors, motors, and actuators.
• Select appropriate electrical components, including circuit breakers, contactors, relays, power supplies, and safety devices.
• Coordinate with mechanical design, PLC programming, production, assembly, and commissioning teams.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable industrial standards and customer specifications.
• Support electrical panel manufacturing, machine wiring, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
• Revise electrical drawings based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely completion of electrical design activities.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in EPLAN Electric P8 for electrical design and documentation.
• Experience in electrical design for Special Purpose Machines (SPM) or customized industrial machinery.
• Good knowledge of PLC, HMI, servo systems, VFDs, sensors, motors, and industrial control circuits.
• Knowledge of electrical panel design, power distribution, control wiring, and component selection.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and support machine assembly and commissioning.
• Understanding of electrical safety standards and industrial automation practices.
• Good coordination, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
