Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team in India as a Production Control Engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project execution and progress tracking within the Oil Refining or Petrochemical industries. The role focuses on supporting production control activities, maintaining accurate data across multiple databases, and ensuring efficient monitoring of project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Support production control activities by automating processes and maintaining information accurately across multiple databases.
• Work closely with the Production Control Team to enhance workflow efficiency and data accuracy.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros) and Microsoft SQL Server to manage, analyze, and generate reports.
• Monitor manpower from various subcontractors, including data collection, analysis, import, and reporting.
• Assist the Production Leader in tracking project progress and quantities (Actual vs Plan) and prepare/verify corresponding reports.
• Provide support for applications and control files used to monitor production across disciplines such as Piping, Steel Structure, and E&I.
• Communicate effectively with team members and departments to ensure smooth information flow.
• Contribute to teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Excel (Advanced): Pivot tables, formulas, macros, graphs, and handling large datasets. (Essential)
• Microsoft SQL Server: Data querying and basic database understanding. (Essential)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation. (Essential)
• Experience working with databases and large data structures. (Desirable)
• Background in Project Control, especially in planning and production monitoring. (Desirable)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. (Desirable)
