Job summary

Sonata Software is seeking an Entra ID Customer Engineer to work from Bangalore/Hyderabad. You will deliver expert advisory services across Entra ID and related identity technologies as part of structured IP engagements.

The role requires aligning with customers to achieve secure, scalable identity solutions. Deep expertise in RBAC, account and group management, and authentication protocols, with hands-on experience in cloud identities and governance tools.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Entra ID RBAC, account and group management, and authentication models.
• Experience with device management, password protection, and governance features.
• Familiarity with Microsoft identity security tooling and cloud integrations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customer teams to provide expert advisory services across Microsoft identity technologies.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships and guide customers toward a healthy, secure state.
• Leverage IP engagements to deliver secure and scalable identity solutions for clients.

Job Title: Entra ID Customer Engineer

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad

Duration: Full Time

Experience level: 8-20 years

As a Customer Engineer, you will collaborate directly with customer teams to provide expert advisory services across a range of technologies. By leveraging structured intellectual property (MIP) engagements, you will establish trusted advisor relationships and guide customers towards achieving a healthy and secure state.

Skills Required

This role requires deep knowledge (300 – 400 level) in the following technology areas:

Entra ID - Role Base Access Control (RBAC), Account Management (User Accounts, Service Principals), Group Management, Entra ID Enterprise Application Management, Authentication Models (Cloud Auth (PTA/PHS), Federation, Protocols – Oauth, SAML, ODIC, Kerberos, FIDO2 \ Passkeys), Device Management (Hybrid Join, AADJ), Account Synchronization (Entra ID Connect, Entra Cloud Sync), Azure P1/P2 Features (Conditional Access – MFA, Risk based policies, Reporting, Troubleshooting, Self-service Password Reset (SSPR), Entra Password Protection - Policy configuration, Integration with Active Directory, Entra ID Governance - Privileged Identity Management, Periodic Reviews, Self-Service Access Reviews, Compliance audits), Entra ID Protection, Management - Microsoft Graph API foundational knowledge
