Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior data governance professional to develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks for data and records across global operations.

You will monitor data quality, address risks, and ensure retention and disposal programs, while aligning with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

The role also involves providing guidance and training on data and records management standards to groups across the organization.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Experience in Governance, Risk, Controls, Assurance or Compliance functions.
• Strong understanding of data governance requirements.
• Hands-on reporting and analytics experience with Tableau/Power Apps/Copilot.

Responsibilities

• To develop, implement, and maintain effective governance frameworks for all data and records across the bank's global operations.
• Development and maintenance of a comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Monitoring data quality and records metrics and compliance with standards across the organization.
• Identification and addressing of data and records management risks and gaps.
• Development and implementation of a records management programme that ensures the proper identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval and disposal of records.
• Development and implementation of a data governance strategy that aligns with the bank's overall data management strategy and business objectives.
• Provision of Group wide guidance and training on Data and Records Management standard requirements.

Requirements

• Post graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business administration or a related discipline / Masters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex and sensitive information to senior audiences.
• Demonstrated experience within Governance, Risk, Controls, Assurance, Compliance, or Operational Risk functions, with a strong understanding of risk management and control frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance requirements.
• Prior experience working within controls, governance, risk, or assurance function.
• Hands‑on experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power apps and Copilot.
