Job summary

Innovative is seeking a Data Management & Governance Specialist to implement and operationalize a governance framework across critical data domains in the BFSI sector. You will analyze liquidity reporting landscapes and data attributes, define DSLA requirements, map data to the enterprise model, and collaborate with the CDO and Finance IT teams.

The role requires deep knowledge of metadata, data quality, and data governance principles, along with strong communication and stakeholder management

Qualifications

• Experience of working in/supporting Enterprise data management programs in BFSI sector
• Understanding of metadata/data lineage/finance related data domains
• Expert in Data quality dimensions/data governance principles
• Ability to defined data quality requirements/rules & analyse data quality issues
• Strong product knowledge across a variety of asset classes
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Project management and organisational skills including taking ownership for key data related initiatives as well as managing a variety of stakeholders across the firm
• Understanding of financial products

Responsibilities

• Implement & operationalize Data Management/Governance framework
• Analyse Liquidity reporting landscape/systems, identify & evaluate critical data attributes
• Prepare prioritization recommendations for the senior management, by applying a risk based approach considering impact and known data quality issues
• Analyse data sourcing, assess if it aligns with firms data management framework & highlight gaps to senior management for remediation/risk acceptance
• Support to define, document & maintain metadata/sensitivity classification & business definition of the critical data attributes
• Support mapping of critical data attributes to enterprise data model & work with CDO to enhance/modify data model as needed
• Collaborate with Finance IT teams to document data lineage & support business review of the lineage documentations
• Work with Liquidity reporting teams to define data quality requirements & rules for implementation by various data stewards at defined control points
• Work with Data stewards to track implementation of data quality rules at defined control points
• Collaborate with Liquidity reporting teams to define/document data quality issues/impact & provide prioritization recommendations to Senior Management. Follow up with data stewards for remediation and elevate to senior management as needed
• Collaborate with Liquidity reporting teams & data stewards to define Data Service Level Agreement (DSLA) requirements, assess the performance of the DSLAs and engage with data stewards to maintain their effectiveness
• Participate in the Data Steward forums to highlight data quality issues, DSLA gaps & facilitate discussions/escalations based on data quality MIs/KRI dashboards
• Participate/provide inputs for Finance functional data forums in relation to data management framework implementations status/gaps/risks
