Job description

CultureMonkey is an AI-powered employee engagement and experience platform that helps organizations build exceptional workplaces through continuous listening, people analytics, and action planning. Trusted across 100+ countries and rated 4.7/5 on G2, we partner with HR and business leaders - at companies like Bausch Health, Yahoo and United Bank.

THE ROLE - OWN KEY ACCOUNTS

Our Customer Success team in Chennai supports customers superbly, day in and day out. What we're building on top of that is the relationship layer: staying ahead of account health, building genuine rapport with the people who matter.

You will own that for our most important accounts. You are their relationship and commercial owner, accountable for their satisfaction, their renewals and the expansion that follows when customers genuinely succeed. CS and product own onboarding, configuration, and day-to-day resolution. You own the relationship and the outcome. Think of yourself as the CEO of these top accounts.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Own the relationship. Real rapport with champions, economic buyers, and executive sponsors across every top account - the trusted first call, never just the ticket-closer.
  • Stay ahead of account health. Keep a live health view on every account, and catch risk through usage, sentiment, and stakeholder signals long before it ever reaches a renewal.
  • Connect goals to value. Track what each customer set out to achieve, map it against what they've actually gotten, and lead the conversations that close the gap out loud.
  • Own renewals end to end. Run 90/60/30-day cadences, keep an honest forecast, lead the commercial conversation and negotiation - and make renewals feel like a formality, not a scramble.
  • Grow the account. Spot expansion rooted in real need - new teams, use cases, modules / new features - and carry those conversations from opening to close.
  • Make business reviews matter. Run monthly and quarterly reviews as strategic partnership conversations tied to outcomes, never status updates.
  • Own every escalation. When something breaks, own the customer's experience of the fix end to end - pulling in CS, product, and engineering while the relationship stays steady.

WHAT WINNING LOOKS LIKE

  • First 30 days - Know top accounts inside out. Build account plans, relationship maps, health views, customer goals, and renewal calendars. Start having meaningful customer conversations.
  • 3 months - Strong relationships across the portfolio. Risks are identified early. Customer goals are actively tracked. Business reviews are strategic, not status updates. Renewals feel predictable.
  • 6 months - Our top customers are genuinely happy, referenceable, and seeing measurable value. Renewals are healthy, expansion comes from real customer needs.

HOW TO MEASURE

  • Customer happiness - CSAT / NPS, qualitative sentiment, advocacy, referenceability.
  • Relationship health - Multi-threaded relationships, executive engagement, stakeholder coverage.
  • Customer outcomes - Goals achieved, adoption, value realisation, business reviews.

AI-FIRST, BY DEFAULT

AI should be part of your everyday workflow. Use it for account research, stakeholder mapping, call preparation, meeting summaries, follow-ups, account plans, risk identification, customer insight synthesis, and finding leverage across your book of business. The more AI is second nature to you, the bigger your edge in this role.

  • You genuinely enjoy talking to customers and building relationships, not just managing workflows.
  • You remember what matters to people and follow through without being asked.
  • You are commercially aware without becoming transactional.
  • You can have uncomfortable conversations early and respectfully.
  • You are naturally curious about the customer's business and can connect product usage to business outcomes.
  • You take ownership when something is broken, even when another team technically owns the task.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 6–10 years in Account Management, Customer Success, or Enterprise Sales at a B2B company - carrying commercial ownership, not just support.
  • A track record you can name: renewals you protected and expansions you personally closed.
  • You've carried satisfaction as a number - retention, NRR, CSAT, or NPS on your scorecard.
  • The presence to talk value, ROI, pricing, and contract structure with senior and C-suite stakeholders.
  • An AI-first mindset, and comfort with US/EMEA-hours overlap and travel to key accounts when it counts.
