Job summary

USV in Gujarat seeks a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on complex OSD machinery, minimizing downtime and ensuring production continuity.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults, set up machines, calibrate sensors, and keep audit-ready records in line with GMP and FDA/local regulations. Collaborate to improve yields, manage spares, and maintain a sterile environment to prevent cross-contamination.

Responsibilities

• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform scheduled servicing and rapid repairs on complex OSD machinery to minimize production downtime.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures in equipment such as high-shear granulators and coating pans.
• Equipment Setup & Changeover: Execute precise machine setups and tooling changes between product batches to ensure consistent quality.
• Calibration: Ensure all process sensors, weighing scales, and monitoring instruments are calibrated according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
• Documentation: Maintain rigorous logs of all maintenance activities, ensuring 'audit-ready' documentation that complies with FDA or local regulatory requirements.
• Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineers to improve machine yields, reduce waste, and enhance the longevity of specialized components like punch dies.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures and maintain a sterile environment to prevent cross-contamination.
• Spare Parts Management: Monitor inventory for critical wear-and-tear components to ensure immediate availability during breakdowns.
