Job summary

Hetero in Hyderabad, India is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing and packaging equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance.

You will operate HVAC systems, handle boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, pumps and water systems, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, and coordinate with Production and QA to minimize downtime while documenting activities in cGMP/SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing and packing equipment.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC systems, including AHUs, chillers, and associated equipment.
• Handle plant utilities such as boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, pumps, and water systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems, including motors, electrical panels, and associated equipment.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance of machinery, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and other engineering equipment.
• Ensure smooth operation of process equipment, including granulators, blenders, tablet compression, coating, and capsule filling machines.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and checklists in compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, and other departments to minimize equipment downtime and ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
