Deutsche Bank AG seeks an experienced Engineering Solutions Lead, VP, to drive design and delivery of modern, cloud-native enterprise solutions in Pune. You will shape end-to-end architecture, guide microservices and API ecosystems, and lead AI-enabled transformations across distributed systems.

The role requires hands-on leadership, deep system design skills, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale enterprise applications.
• Proven experience in solution architecture, system design, and building scalable distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, API-first design, and integration patterns.
• Strong experience designing and governing RESTful APIs for high-volume environments.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, IaC and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience implementing AI and Generative AI solutions, including LLM integrations and AI governance.
• Strong data architecture, security, governance, and compliance knowledge in cloud/AI ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python for technical design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise platforms and digital products.
• Define end-to-end solution architecture aligned with enterprise standards and strategic objectives.

• Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Define AI solution architectures including LLM integration and intelligent automation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture, deployment, and operations lifecycles.
• Establish architecture best practices for security, observability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Mentor teams on modern patterns, cloud engineering, and AI adoption.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise platforms and digital products.
• Define end‑to‑end solution architecture for complex business problems, ensuring alignment with enterprise technology standards and strategic objectives.
• Drive system design decisions across distributed systems, microservices, event‑driven architectures, API ecosystems, and cloud‑native platforms.
• Design and review REST APIs, service contracts, integration patterns, and data models to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Architect cloud‑native solutions leveraging modern public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Lead cloud transformation and modernization initiatives, including application migration, containerization, Kubernetes adoption, and platform engineering practices.
• Define AI solution architectures, including LLM integration, AI orchestration frameworks, RAG‑based solutions, intelligent automation, and AI governance considerations.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the software lifecycle, from architecture and design through deployment and operational support.
• Establish architecture best practices for security, observability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Mentor engineering teams on modern architectural patterns, cloud engineering, system design, and AI adoption.

Your skills and experience

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in designing and delivering large‑scale enterprise applications.
• Proven experience in solution architecture, system design, and building scalable distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, event‑driven systems, API‑first design, and integration patterns.
• Strong experience designing and governing RESTful APIs for high‑volume enterprise environments.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including cloud‑native architecture and deployment models.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience designing highly available, fault‑tolerant, and performance‑optimized systems.
• Practical experience implementing AI and Generative AI solutions, including LLM integrations, RAG architectures, AI APIs, and intelligent automation use cases.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, security, governance, and compliance considerations within cloud and AI ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python with the ability to engage in technical design reviews and guide engineering teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence technical strategy across multiple teams.
• Experience in financial services, asset management, or regulated enterprise environments is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
