You will collaborate with product and backend teams, implement reusable components, optimize performance, and ensure accessibility and security in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript in enterprise web apps.
• Proven ability to build scalable, accessible UI components and design systems.
• Experience integrating frontends with REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly responsive, reusable UI components using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+).
• Implement pixel-perfect, responsive UI screens based on UX designs and product specifications.
• Optimize front-end applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices.
• Build reusable UI modules and evolve shared component libraries/design systems.
• Work with QA to automate UI testing and ensure high-quality releases.
• Troubleshoot production UI issues and provide L3 support when needed

Role Description

Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration.

It may also involve taking functional oversight of engineering delivery for specific departments.

• Planning and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals
• Building reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Ensuring maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
• Ensuring solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
• Reviewing engineering plans and quality to drive re-use and improve engineering capability
• Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative technologies, tools and solutions in the Bank
• Strong problem solving
• Strong communication
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Familiarity with REST, JSON, and asynchronous programming
• Experience in building scalable enterprise level software
• Expert in JavaScript and ecosystem
• Exceptional Code Quality
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience in working with Agile Methodologies
• Experience in mentoring junior devs

Your key responsibilities

Your skills and experience

• Strong experience with React.js, Hooks, Context API, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience integrating frontends with APIs or data‑driven interfaces.
• Strong foundation in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Experience with Redux/Redux Toolkit or other state‑management frameworks.
• Familiarity with Next.js, ReactQuery, or similar frameworks.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, streaming APIs.
• Exposureto testingframeworkslikeJest,ReactTestingLibrary, Cypress.
• Experience building secure, enterprise‑grade web UIs consuming backendAPIs
• UnderstandingofUIperformance, accessibility, and usability considerations
• Experience with Agile/DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Jira.
• Experiencewith visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js)
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
