Job summary

Cognizant in Mumbai seeks an experienced C Linux technical lead in NSE at M or SA level. On-site from the Mumbai client office (BKC) is mandatory every working day.

The role demands 8+ years of development in C, deep Unix/Linux knowledge, IPC, multithreading, socket programming, and strong debugging with GDB. Shell scripting and version control are pluses; exposure to trading/real-time apps is a plus.

Excellent client communication is expected as you work closely with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of development experience in C.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux concepts.
• Expertise in IPC, especially shared memory.
• Experience with multithreading and multiprocessing; socket programming.
• Experience with Linux debugging tools (GDB) and shell scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead C/Linux development for NSE at M/SA level.

Responsibilities

• Technical Skills: C Linux
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux is expected
• Minimum 8+ years of development experience in C
• Excellent understanding of pointers and IPC in Unix (shared memory)
• Excellent knowledge on Multithreading and Multiprocessing application exposure socket programming data structures process synchronization etc
• Working experience in Linux application debugging tools (GDB)

• Strong written and oral communication with good client interaction skills
