Job summary

Hyatt Regency Kolkata is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering department in line with Hyatt's standards and corporate strategies, ensuring reliable operations across the hotel.

You will assist the Director of Engineering, coordinate maintenance, manage building services, and oversee grounds and equipment to keep facilities in optimum condition.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Management.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programmes.
• Experience with HVAC, fire protection, water/waste treatment or hydraulics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the engineering department to align with Hyatt's strategies and standards.
• Assist Director of Engineering in operations and service delivery.
• Maintain equipment, building and grounds in optimum condition.
• Coordinate with other departments to support hotel operations.

Summary

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Engineering Manager is responsible to assist the Director of Engineering in ensuring the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.

Qualifications

Ideally the candidate should have a degree or diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management. Knowledge in preventive maintenance programme and special projects will be valuable. Technical knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, fire main systems, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics will be an advantage.
