TajSATS is seeking a Director of Engineering to strategically lead the engineering function in our hospitality-focused operations. The role emphasizes aligning infrastructure with business goals, driving energy management, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

You will guide sustainability initiatives, oversee major capital projects, and develop a high-performing team while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety across facilities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
• 18+ years of professional experience post-qualification.
• Hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building systems.
• Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-call and respond to emergencies.

Job Purpose:

To strategically lead the engineering function, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while driving innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency. The role focuses on enhancing infrastructure, optimizing energy management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Description:

• Develop and execute the engineering strategy to align with long-term organizational goals, focusing on operational excellence and technological innovation.
• Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency programs, waste management systems, and the integration of renewable energy solutions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure high performance across maintenance, energy utilization, and resource management.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with production, procurement, and senior leadership to support organizational priorities.
• Oversee the planning, approval, and execution of major capital projects, including facility upgrades and expansions.
• Improve processes to optimize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance safety.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations, including HACCP and ESG guidelines.
• Develop a long-term roadmap for energy conservation and carbon footprint reduction.
• Foster partnerships with technology providers to implement cutting-edge solutions in engineering and maintenance.
• Cultivate a high-performing team by implementing targeted training, mentoring, and leadership development programs.
• Manage relationships with regulatory authorities, vendors, and utility providers to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
• Lead crisis management efforts for engineering-related emergencies and maintain robust contingency plans.

• Flexibility to work on-call and respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
