Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an experienced Manager Engineering to lead automotive engineering, vehicle testing, and validation operations with a focus on electric two-wheelers. The role oversees testing facilities, engineering teams, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery of customer projects.

You will drive SOPs, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to meet quality and safety standards across NABL/ISO guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in automotive testing, validation, R&D, or engineering operations.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in team handling or managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of vehicle and component testing activities.
• Oversee performance, durability, environmental, electrical and electronics, battery and charging system, NVH, and safety testing.
• Ensure the effective functioning of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and testing facilities.
• Coordinate with homologation and certification agencies for regulatory compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, technicians, and validation teams.
• Allocate resources, monitor deliverables, and ensure timely completion of engineering activities.
• Drive technical capability development and employee training initiatives.
• Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
• Review engineering reports, test data, and validation summaries for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Develop and implement SOPs, testing methodologies, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety guidelines, and equipment calibration requirements.
• Support implementation and maintenance of NABL and ISO standards, including audit readiness.
• Support root cause analysis, failure investigations, and corrective actions.
• Contribute to new laboratory development, equipment procurement, and facility expansion.
• Evaluate emerging testing technologies and EV validation methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AIS, CMVR, ISO, and automotive compliance standards.
• Experience in EV battery, motor, controller, and charging system validation.
• Familiarity with CAN tools, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or simulation tools.
