Job summary

UST in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead software engineering teams building scalable, secure, and cloud‑native applications using AWS, .NET, and MongoDB. You will mentor engineers, drive design and delivery, define technical strategy, and champion Agile/DevSecOps practices to ensure high quality, secure, and reliable software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience with leadership
• Proficiency in C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core and REST APIs
• Hands-on with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM)
• Strong MongoDB experience including schema design and HA deployments
• Experience with relational DBs (SQL Server / PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience implementing CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)
• Strong software architecture, design patterns, security, and cloud-native dev
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in AWS, .NET, and MongoDB, combined with experience leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity and software delivery. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a passion for developing high‑performing teams.

The Opportunity

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead role.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and EventBridge.
• Strong experience with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, performance tuning, and high‑availability deployments.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Practical experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT, or similar solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, security, scalability, and cloud‑native development.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Desired Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Developer certification.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI‑enabled application development.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
