Job summary

Utthunga Technologies is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for Oil & Gas EPC projects in Bengaluru. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation, ensuring engineering excellence from concept through commissioning.

You will develop execution plans, review complex deliverables, manage risks and budgets, and coordinate with clients and vendors to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of experience in engineering management for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality across multiple disciplines.
• Experience in HAZOP, design reviews, risk management, and technical leadership.
• Strong client, vendor and stakeholder management with international standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams across Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation.
• Develop and implement engineering execution plans to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
• Provide technical leadership from concept through commissioning and closeout.
• Review deliverables, calculations, specifications, datasheets, and design packages for accuracy.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, licensors, and project stakeholders for seamless execution.
• Mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to HSE and compliance.

Experienced Engineering Manager with 15-20 years of expertise in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG, and Energy Infrastructure projects. Proven track record in managing engineering execution, project delivery, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.

Key strengths include engineering management, project execution, technical leadership, design reviews, risk management, and coordination across Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines. Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
• Develop and implement engineering execution plans to ensure project deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and direction throughout project lifecycle, from concept and FEED to detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, datasheets, and design packages.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, licensors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor engineering progress, resource utilization, and productivity to achieve project milestones and contractual commitments.
• Conduct design reviews, HAZOP, model reviews, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
• Manage engineering risks, technical queries, deviations, and change control processes.
• Support procurement activities by reviewing technical bid evaluations, vendor documents, and manufacturing progress.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, client specifications, and company procedures.
• Drive digital engineering initiatives utilizing COMOS, EDMS, Aconex, and other engineering management systems.
• Facilitate effective coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Review project schedules and resource plans, ensuring optimal allocation of manpower and technical expertise.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are issued on time and meet quality requirements.
• Support project management in budget control, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Participate in client meetings, progress reviews, and technical workshops.
• Ensure adherence to HSE requirements and promote safe engineering practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Resolve complex technical issues and provide strategic guidance for critical engineering decisions.
• Drive lessons learned, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
