Job summary

Nuvena in New Delhi is seeking a hands-on engineering lead to own Navio OS and Navio On It, including infrastructure, security and internal IT behind them. You will stay close to code, lead a small engineering team and decide how we build. You know good UI/UX when you see it, and nothing ships until it meets that bar.

You will ensure UI/UX quality, collaborate with the founder on roadmap and AI capabilities, and drive delivery across web, mobile and WhatsApp integrations.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in software engineering shipping production SaaS.
• Hands-on across the stack: React front end, backend APIs in Java or a similar language, databases and cloud.
• Has owned production infrastructure and security, not just features.
• Strong product and UI/UX judgement; can give a designer precise feedback.
• Uses AI coding tools well and sets the standard for how the team uses them.
• Decides, ships and finishes what you start, and stays calm when production breaks.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering for Navio OS and Navio On It: architecture, delivery, quality and speed, across the Java and Spring Boot services, the React front end and the Python automation and AI work.
• Own infrastructure, security and compliance: cloud, CI/CD, monitoring, backups, access control, and readiness for customer IT reviews and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
• Own internal IT: devices, accounts, tooling and policies for the whole company.
• Set the UI/UX bar: review designs and screens, and keep the product simple, fast and consistent across web, mobile and WhatsApp.
• Lead a small engineering team: hiring, mentoring, code review and how we work.
• Work with the founder on the roadmap, AI capabilities and customer integrations.

Good To Have

• Experience with AI/LLM products, voice interfaces or WhatsApp-based products.
• Python, Kotlin or React Native; experience with Frappe is a plus.
• Mobile app releases on both stores.
• Has taken a product through ISO 27001, SOC 2 or an enterprise security review.
