Prudential plc is seeking a senior software engineering leader to design, develop and support digital platforms for the organization. You will work with business units and IT teams to deliver modern technology enabling digital capabilities across platforms, with a focus on scalable architectures and robust testing practices.

Ideal candidates will have strong React/Redux and Java Spring experiences, solid knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and experience mentoring engineers in an Agile

Qualificações

• Experience in mobile app development platforms and ecosystems.
• Strong sense and experience on SOLID principles.
• Strong culture on Software Testing (Unit Test, TDD, BDD).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP/eXtreme Programming).

• Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions leveraging the new and existing technology stacks.
• Provide oversight and governance on all Platform projects; participate and facilitate technical discussions with team and stakeholders.
• Lead projects, resolve complex problems, mentor junior team members and ensure adherence to IT policies.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements and manage expectations. Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions leveraging the new and existing technology stacks. Provide oversight and governance on all Platform projects Participate and facilitate technical discussions with team as well as all other stakeholders Define and evolve technical standards and processes for both the platform and the team Develops data integration, migration and deployment strategies Build relationships with / between key internal and external stakeholders Manages and mentors junior team members Deliver applications in accordance to relevant IT policies and procedures Lead projects, resolve new/complex problems which may impact the application Responsible for the technical training & development of the team Manages stakeholders, including influencing and persuading, as part of applications delivery and support.

Who we are looking for

Expertise in Mobile App development platform and ecosystems. Strong sense and experience on SOLID principles Strong culture on Software Testing (Unit Test, TDD, BDD) Exposure to Front End or full-stack software development experience Experience and affinity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP/eXtreme Programming) Complexity estimation / planning poker Willingness to do the right thing, keep it simple Strong background in design/development of React/Redux based systems Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning, engineering best practices, and deployment methodologies Experience with: TDD/BDD JavaScript - React and RN Java 8+ RESTful APIs, Vertex REST API and Microservices development (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, etc.) RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL – Couchbase, MongoDB Kafka Event based systems / Functional Reactive development / Event Streams Code Version Control tools (git, bitbucket) Cloud platform (Azure, AKS, OpenShift) DevOps (CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, K8s, etc.) Knowledge on Salesforce is a plus Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, marketing automation, reporting, etc.) Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies. Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes Strong background in design/development of mobile apps, or complete software product lifecycle exposure Comfortable with Agile/iterative project management methodologies

Education

Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
