Job summary

Prudential Services Asia is seeking an experienced IT professional to enhance and maintain core admin systems, specializing in Life/Asia insurance applications on AS/400 platforms. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end software lifecycle robustness and adherence to IT governance.

You will analyze problems, propose efficient technical solutions, document scope changes, and drive testing to ensure high-quality releases across Life/Asia modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Higher Degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in AS/400, SMART/400 based insurance applications specialized in Life/400, Life/Asia.
• Experience in LifeAsia SOAP APIs.
• Develops, customizes, enhances, maintains and supports Life/400, Life/Asia, Integral Life Insurance software.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain Core admin system.
• Collaborate with front-end system teams for robust lifecycle management.
• Define and document scope changes during project life cycle.
• Propose efficient solutions to business needs through analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhancement and maintenance of Core admin system
• Work closely with other front-end system application team to ensure end-to-end software lifecycle is robust
• Ensuring the Applications Management function is aligned with company strategy.
• Define and document scope changes during the project life cycle.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand and suggest best & efficient solution to cater to business needs
• Analyze problems and implement appropriate technical solutions
• Prepare the technical specification, Maintain and document the changes, Conduct Unit/Integration testing
• Complete the assignments within the agreed deadline
• Quality analysis of the programs/system before acceptance testing
• Work closely with Business Analyst to deliver a robust and error-free application systems
• Ensure that all development and implementation are compliant with IT governance policy
• Technical review and quality analysis of the code done by junior members to ensure learning and motivation for subordinates

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Higher Degree in Computer Science and engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Experience in AS/400, SMART/400 based insurance applications specialized in Life/400, Life/Asia application.
• Experience in working with LifeAsia SOAP API’s
• Provide a good quality level of SMART/400 based insurance applications.
• Develops, customizes, enhances, maintains and supports Life/400, Life/Asia, Integral Life Insurance software application system

Key Attributes:

• Strong analytical skill
• Strong co-ordination skills required to liaise with counterparts within the Company.
• Experience in conceptual and functional business process modeling.
• Knowledge of insurance industry is a plus
• Relationship management skills
• Being able to communicate in fluent English
