Job summary

Moon Shot Agency is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive technical strategy across front-end, full-stack, and telephony projects in a hybrid India-based office. You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, own delivery timelines, and directly contribute on critical paths to accelerate velocity.

You will champion AI-assisted development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and report progress to US leadership, ensuring quality, reliability, and growth of the engineering function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead/management role.
• GITHUB portfolio or code samples demonstrating senior/lead work are required.
• Must be able to commute to or relocate to GCC office location in India.
• Regular overlap with US Eastern Time for leadership syncs.

Responsibilities

• Set engineering architecture, standards, and best practices across front-end, full-stack, and telephony workstreams.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team owning hiring, performance reviews, and workload distribution.
• Own sprint planning, technical scoping, and delivery timelines; unblock risks early.
• Stay active in code reviews, architecture decisions, and hands-on contribution.
• Drive AI-assisted development adoption across the team.
• Partner with Product, Design, QA, and US leadership to translate roadmaps into execution plans.
• Champion testing discipline and production reliability practices.
• Run stand-ups, sprint reviews, and report progress to US leadership.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Set engineering architecture, standards, and best practices across front-end, full-stack, and telephony/dialer workstreams for HookedCRM and other products in the portfolio.
• Team Management: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of front-end, fullstack, and junior engineers owning hiring, performance reviews, career development, and day-to-day workload distribution.
• Delivery Ownership: Own sprint planning, technical scoping, and delivery timelines; unblock engineers and expedite risks to US leadership early.
• Hands-On Engineering: Stay active in the codebase code reviews, architecture decisions, and direct contribution on the highest-leverage or highest-risk work.
• AI-Native Development: Drive adoption of AI-assisted development (Claude, Cursor, Antigravity, MCP-connected tools) across the team to accelerate velocity and improve code quality.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, QA, and US engineering leadership to translate roadmap priorities into technical execution plans.
• Quality & Reliability: Champion testing discipline, code review standards, and production reliability practices across the team's output.
• Process & Reporting: Run stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retros; report engineering progress, risks, and capacity to US leadership.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience).
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or management capacity.
• GitHub portfolio or code samples demonstrating senior/lead-level work (required).
• Ability to commute to or relocate to the GCC office location in India.
• Availability for regular overlap with US Eastern Time for cross-team leadership syncs and planning.
