Job summary

Waldorf Astoria Kuwait seeks a skilled Chief Engineer/Facilities Supervisor to manage shift operations and supervise Plant & Maintenance activities in the hotel. You will ensure smooth operation of DG sets, AC systems, water supply, and general maintenance, while coordinating with other departments.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, planning duties, on-the-job training, monitoring energy costs, maintaining equipment records, and implementing economical operation programs, with liaison

• To handle the shift efficiently.
• Responsible for Plant & Maintenance operations in the hotel.
• Smooth running of DG Sets, A/c Systems, Water Supply System and General Maintenance System.
• Controlling and deputing staff as per the nation and requirements.
• Optimum utilization of available manpower including assigning duties, on-the-job training and performance evaluation.
• Keeps the Chief Engineer informed of all activities including Breakdowns, fire & unusual events.

• Assiststafftocarryouttheirjobs.

• Liaisonwithotherdepartmentincarryingouttheabovedutiesandassistotherdepartmentwhereevernecessary.

• VisitotherdepartmentsforexecutingEngineeringTasks

• RegularInspectionofallPlant&Machinery

• Controlallthestaffandco-ordinatewithotherdepartments.

• Indenting/approvingqualityofengineeringmaterials.

• CarryoutdutiesasspecifiedbyChiefEngineerin time to time.

• Supportsandinitiateprogramsfortheimprovementproceduresandthereductionofenergyandutilitycosts

• Analysestandmonitoredenergycostsandexpendituresforthedepartment.

• Maintainsanequipmentandmachineryrecordsystmfortheproperty

• RecommendestotheAssistantChiefEngineernuewpoliciesandproceduresforamoreeconomicaloperationandmaintenanceprogram

• InteractsandcooperatewithHotelguestsandoutsidecontractorsasdirectedbyhis superior

• Assists tradesmenwithmaintenanceandrepa wwhenrequired

• Conductsshiftbriefingstoensurehotelactivitiesandoperationalrequirementsareknown.
