Job summary

Dentsu in Bengaluru is seeking an Engineering Architect for full-stack MERN solutions. You will lead architecture, design and governance for enterprise applications, spanning React frontends, Node.js backends, and data services with GraphQL Federation and event-driven patterns.

You will own identity, data, and AI-assisted architecture, and drive a funded roadmap while mentoring sub-teams. Strong leadership, cloud-native skills, and governance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven technical leadership of an engineering team at Lead Technical Architect or Principal Architect scope.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, Node.js, NestJS, MongoDB/Mongoose and Web Components/micro-frontends.
• GraphQL schema design and federated graph architecture with versioning.
• Event-driven architecture using Kafka, Schema Registry and Avro.
• Identity and access architecture: OAuth2/OIDC, Okta, service-account token exchange and ABAC.
• Polyglot service environments with Python/FastAPI; AI capability integration in prod systems.
• Cloud-native, distributed design with Docker/Kubernetes and Helm/GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Delivery governance, testing practices (Jest, RTL, Playwright, pytest) and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and delivery of enterprise-scale MERN applications.
• Define target architecture, standards, and roadmap; govern decisions with reviews.
• Architect React/TypeScript frontend and Node.js/NestJS backend services.
• Define data architecture across MongoDB, with schemas and indexing strategy.
• Own GraphQL Federation architecture, topic design and schema evolution rules.
• Establish event-driven architecture on Kafka with contract design.

• Shape Python/FastAPI service architecture and integration with platform.
• Scope and guard n8n usage for automation vs engineered services.

You set target architecture and engineering standards, and stay close enough to the code to assure designs you approve.
