About This Role
We are seeking an individual to provide comprehensive 2nd line operational support for Cisco Unified Communications and Voice over IP solutions in a global enterprise environment. This role focuses on resolving complex incidents, performing change activities, maintaining high service availability, and supporting customer onboarding. The position is aligned with VOIS’ network transformation agenda and requires strong collaboration to identify automation opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to long‑term service excellence.
What you will do
- Deliver end‑to‑end 2nd line technical support for unified communications services across data centre infrastructures.
- Support technologies including Cisco Nexus 7K & 9K, Cisco ASA and Firepower firewalls, Catalyst switches, and routers.
- Manage and coordinate vendor interactions to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Resolve customer‑reported incidents in line with defined service level agreements.
- Contribute to planning, assessment, and execution of change requests.
- Onboard new customers within the production environment, including configuration, testing, and updating inventory systems.
- Generate and analyse signalling load and traffic reports to enhance performance KPIs.
- Oversee technical service ramp‑up activities such as installation, configuration, and platform setup tasks.
Maintain and enhance knowledge bases and inventory databases for operational accuracy.
Who you are
- Possess advanced knowledge of Cisco Nexus 7K & 9K, ASA and vASA firewalls.
- Skilled in routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and EIGRP.
- Proficient in Linux systems administration.
- Experienced in tools such as Remedy, Netcool, Palladion, VoIP Future, and Science Logic.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Hold a graduation degree with 1+ years of experience in implementation or incident management roles related to unified communications or networking.
- Have good understanding of automation tools and methodologies used in cognitive or network automation domains.
- Adapt proactively to emerging technologies and collaboration platforms.
