Engineer - Tool Maintenance (Sheet Metal)

Role And Responsibilities
- Accountable for tool maintenance asset management.
- Progressive tool troubleshooting personally and lead the team.
- Monitor MTTR & MTBF of tool downtime, prepare MIS reports and action plans for improvement.
- Analyze breakdown/damages/wear & tear, implement CAPA and validation.
- Execute ECN changes on tool parts to run machines efficiently with proper documentation.
- Maintain tools to eliminate major breakdowns and production failures.
- Respond quickly and investigate tool breakages and damages.
- Manage spare parts inventory, maintain required quantities and reorder considering lead time.
- Implement improvements/Kaizens to enhance productivity and quality.
- Provide training to the team to enhance skill matrix.
- Ensure on‑time preventive maintenance as per defined schedule.
- Update preventive maintenance checklists.
- Implement predictive maintenance checklists and enhancement.
- Create existing/NPD tools maintenance checkpoints & SOP.
- Coordinate with external vendors for tooling and equipment maintenance and repair if needed.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver the right parts at the right time (OTIF).
- Track and maintain critical tool downtime to decrease trend wise.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and 5S in the work area.
Education And Experience
Diploma in Tool & Die making with 2 to 6 years of experience.
