Job summary

ICE in Hyderabad, India invites a Platform Engineer to maintain and advance our enterprise server infrastructure. You will work in a cross-functional team with analysts, developers, and operations to implement automation, improve security, and optimize performance.

The role requires 3+ years of server experience, strong scripting skills, and a hands-on mindset. We value ownership, collaboration, and the ability to handle on-call rotations in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience Windows Server (2019, 2022, 2025) and/or Linux Server (RHEL 8+)
• 2+ years of experience with PowerShell and/or Bash or similar language.
• 1+ years of experience with patch and vulnerability management and remediation.
• Build automation and configuration management.
• Horizontal and vertical scaling for performance and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of Windows and Linux server solutions.
• Build and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible or similar.
• Assist in maintaining and improving our Windows and Linux build infrastructure.
• Assist in creating and deploying software packages.
• Tune systems for maximum available performance.
• Respond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environment.
• Evaluate, test, and integrate new operating system versions, drivers, and patches.
• Provide technical analysis, resolve problems, and propose solutions.
• Provide support to, and coordinate with, developers, operations staff, release engineers, and end-users.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support

The Platform Engineer is responsible for maintaining and advancing the enterprise's Server infrastructure and tooling. This individual works as part of a results-oriented, service-delivery team and collaborates with configuration analysts, release engineers, developers, and operations teams. The Platform Engineer performs root cause analysis of problems, develops and implements automation tools, and actively participates in deep technical discussions to drive endpoint visibility, security, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
