Job summary

Acumen 360 Consulting & HR Solutions is seeking an Engineer/Sr. Engineer- Sourcing- Sheetmetal in Karjan to develop and procure sheet metal components. You will send RFQs, negotiate pricing and delivery, and coordinate with QC/R&D for first samples and pilot batches.

The role involves supplier development, localization of parts, and providing technical input on drawings to resolve interpretation issues, with alternate vendor development and corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be from a sheet metal industry.
• Thorough knowledge about sheet metal processes: laser cutting, punching, bending, and welding.
• Strong negotiation, cost estimation, and cost reduction skills.
• Experience in supplier development, identifying suppliers, and RFQ comparison.

Responsibilities

• Development of Sheet metal parts and Sending RFQ to supplier.
• Negotiate Pricing Quantity and delivery schedule with Supplier for development parts.
• Manages the Sampling and part approval process with coordination of QC and R & D team.
• Follow up for First sample and first three Pilot batch Purchase orders.
• Development of Sheet metal parts for Localization of parts & MCR parts.
• Provides Technical inputs to supplier by sharing and discussing on Part drawings, Assembly drawings and resolve the issue related to Misunderstanding / Misinterpretation of drawings, specification, Tolerances.
• Develop the alternate vendor for Sheet metal category.
• In case of quality complaints, to take follow-up with Supplier for Corrective and Preventive actions.
• Provide technical input to vendor for Connect ducts and joints by welding, bolting, riveting or soldering.
