Job summary

Metso in India (Alwar) is seeking an Engineer/Sr. Engineer to join the Quality team. You will oversee supplier quality assurance, parts inspection, vendor evaluations, and root-cause analysis for corrective actions.

Flexibility in location and hybrid work options are available. The role requires mechanical engineering qualification and 4–12 years’ QA experience in manufacturing, with familiarity in quality tools and standards.

Qualifications

• 4–12 years of QA experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018 and Indian Standards.
• Familiar with APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and PPAP.
• Supplier quality management including vendor evaluation and root-cause analysis.
• Proficient with MS Office and data analysis; able to prepare MIS & presentations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and supplier parts.
• Evaluate vendors and drive upgradation.
• Contribute to new product development activities.
• Perform root cause analysis for in-process issues and customer complaints; implement corrective actions.
• Review products and processes for continuous improvements.
• Participate in production meetings with manufacturing team.
• Support IMS implementation per ISO standards.

Introduction:

We are seeking a Engineer/Sr. Engineer to join our Quality team. You will be responsible for Supplier quality assurance, which involves Quality Your role plays a crucial part in supplier quality which will contribute to // positively impact QA Engineer In this position, you will report to Sanjay Pandey

This position is mainly located in Alwar, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for the incoming and supplier parts inspection.
• Responsible for Vendor evaluation/Re-evaluation and upgradation.
• Responsible for new product development activities.
• Responsible for root cause analysis of in-process issues and customer complaints and taking corrective & preventive actions.
• Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made.
• Actively participate in production meetings with the manufacturing team.
• Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product.
• Developing quality control processes and testing of assembled machined as per specification.
• Performing /conducting Internal Audit / Supplier Audit & Management Review Meetings.
• IMS implementation as per ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018.

Who you are:

• Engineering diploma /degree in Mechanical from any reputed college/ University.
• Looking for working experience of 4 -12 years in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing industry.
• Not Mandatory but if he should be NDT Level II (UT, MPI, DP, VT).
• Having good knowledge of manufacturing process like fabrication, machining and painting.
• Having knowledge of commercial items like hydraulics fittings, hoses, electrical parts and other industrial accessories.
• I must have good knowledge and experience of Quality Tools as APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and PPAP.
• Familiar with company and industry quality standards and processes.
• Familiar with industry quality standards and processes. (Indian Standards, EN, DIN standards .. understand and use for material specifications and verification)
• Self-motivated approach, ability to work independently and make decisions, at the same time goal and success oriented.
• Knowledge in Hydraulics fittings, Hoses, tubes and Proprietary parts.
• Daily & Monthly MIS For Suppliers Quality Rating with rejection analysis & Concrete Corrective actions.
• Supplier Assessment for process and product up gradation with Monthly review.
• Defects Root cause analysis, appropriate corrective & Preventive action implementation with systematic approach.
• Strong Hand on Data analysis, Quality tools like Pareto Analysis, 8D, MIS and PPT preparation for presentation on various events like MRM, Training etc.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Good working expertise of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Great team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills.
