Job summary

Praxis Consultants in India is seeking an RD Engineer to join a plastics manufacturing company. You will conduct polymer testing, support product development, and maintain thorough laboratory documentation. You will work with Brabender, Two Roll Mill, and Compression Molding equipment and participate in plant trials to finalize formulations. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of RD experience in polymer/plastics manufacturing and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science or Plastics Engineering.
• CIPET certification.
• B.Tech in Polymer Science or an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Test compounding samples and develop products using Brabender, Two Roll Mill and Compression Molding machines.
• Prepare and maintain RD reports, test reports and related documentation.
• Participate in plant trials after finalization of formulations/recipes by the RD team.
• Assist in vendor development activities and maintain related records and data.
• Ensure implementation of 5S practices and maintain RD laboratory equipment through regular maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping in the RD laboratory and keep records of market samples, raw materials and chemicals.
