Job summary

Ami Polymer Pvt. Ltd. in Silvassa is looking for a professional in product and process development. You will design and optimize rubber and silicone compounds and develop various formulations.

Your role will include optimizing manufacturing processes, supporting scale-up efforts, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Strong knowledge in rubber compounding and elastomer chemistry is required, along with good documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize rubber and silicone compounds.
• Develop formulations with VMQ, PVMQ, FKM, FFKM, EPDM.
• Optimize mixing, compounding, extrusion, and curing processes.
• Support scale-up, pilot trials, and technology transfer.
• Develop products like tubing, hoses, and seals.
• Perform material characterization and laboratory testing.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Commercial teams.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Product & Formulation Development

• Design and optimize rubber and silicone compounds
• Develop formulations using materials like VMQ, PVMQ, FKM, FFKM, EPDM, and specialty elastomers
• Conduct raw material evaluation and performance enhancement studies

Process Development & Optimization

• Optimize processes such as mixing, compounding, extrusion, molding, curing, and post-curing
• Support scale-up, pilot trials, and technology transfer activities
• Develop in-process specifications and validation parameters

Product Development

• Develop products such as tubing, hoses, seals, gaskets, O-rings, molded components, and fluid transfer systems
• Work on product validation, testing, and commercialization activities

Testing & Documentation

• Perform material characterization and laboratory testing
• Maintain proper lab documentation, reports, and validation records
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Commercial teams
• Support customer projects and technical discussions

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of rubber compounding and elastomer chemistry
