Job summary

KK Group is seeking an engineer to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor in Bengaluru. You will implement changes, reduce cycle times, and lead cost-saving initiatives while supporting KAIZEN and automation in line.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Shift flexibility is needed in a stationary production environment in India.

Qualifications

  • BE in Industrial Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Local language skills for shopfloor communication.
  • Willing to work in shifts; stationary job.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Change Management Activities (CN - Implementation).
  • Cycle time reduction.
  • Cost saving Initiatives.
  • Support KAIZEN Activities.
  • Initiate, Support & Implement Automation solutions in Line.
  • Improvement Projects & Support NPI Projects.
Our requirements
  • ECN Implementation - First piece assemblies, feasibility study, Documentation review, Approve & Activate.
  • Layout optimisation: Conceptualisation, Approvals & Implementation (solid works/Auto Cadd).
  • Process Improvement – Ability to identify bottlenecks and improve productivity, cycle time, and process efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving – Strong analytical approach to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Root Cause Analysis – Knowledge of 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, 8D, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Lean Manufacturing – Understanding of 5S, Kaizen, OEE, VSM, SMED, Poka-Yoke, and waste reduction.
  • Quality Management – PPAP, Knowledge of quality standards, inspection methods, process control, rejection reduction, and CAPA.
  • Technical Knowledge – Understanding of Electrical panel assembly & manufacturing processes, machines, tools, fixtures, drawings, and process parameters.
  • Data Analysis – Ability to analyse production data, downtime, rejection, efficiency, and KPI trends.
  • Cost Reduction – Identifying opportunities to reduce material, manpower, energy, tooling, and process costs.
  • Project Management – Ability to plan and execute process improvement, automation, and cost‑saving projects.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination – Effective collaboration with Quality, Maintenance, Production, Warehouse, Purchase, and Engineering teams.
  • Communication Skills – Clear communication with operators, supervisors, engineers, and management.
  • Leadership & Teamwork – Ability to lead improvement activities and motivate shop‑floor teams.
  • Decision‑Making – Ability to make timely, data‑driven decisions during production issues.
  • Safety Awareness – Strong understanding of workplace safety, EHS requirements, and safe operating practices.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset – Proactively looking for ways to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP).
Additional information:
  • Candidate should know local language to have effective communication with the shopfloor operators.
  • Educational Qualification Required: BE in Industrial Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Relevant Experience Required: 1 to 2 years.
  • Stationary Job.
  • Flexible to work in shifts.
  • Certifications & Licenses Good to have Lean certification.
  • Breadth of the Role: Local.
