Job summary

Future Industries in Ahmedabad is seeking an Engineer Procurement to manage material handling machinery procurement. You will coordinate with design and production teams to ensure timely purchasing, vendor development, and effective contract administration.

The role requires 4–5 years of procurement experience in industrial production, BE mechanical, and hands-on ERP usage. Working hours are 09:30am to 6:30pm with travel to Ahmedabad as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities to support timely production.
• Identify and vet profitable suppliers and develop vendor partnerships.
• Prepare purchase orders for all items including vendor-developed and brought-out items.
• Negotiate favorable terms with external vendors and manage contracts.
• Use ERP to capture and track procurement data and actions.
• Monitor spend, report key metrics, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Coordinate with production/design teams to clarify specifications and expectations.
• Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies for supply contracts.

Job Purpose

: The candidate shall be responsible for Managing purchase function for material handling machine manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Procurement activities to perform to execute production activity in time.
2. Discover profitable suppliers a nd initiate business and organization partnerships through Vendor Development.
3. Purchase order making for al l purchases. I.e. vendor developed items, brought-out items etc.
4. Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
5. Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
6. Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
7. Examine and test existing contracts.
8. Use of Company ERP to take all data in to system.
9. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
10. Collaborate with key persons in production / Design to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
11. Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
12. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
13. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
14. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
15. Need to perform any additional task given by management time to time
