Job summary

Tata Projects Limited is seeking an experienced engineer for Transmission Line projects in India. The role emphasizes electrical and civil interfaces, procurement, and strict QA/QC adherence on-site.

You will coordinate with staff and contractors, prepare cost estimates and contract amendments, and ensure timely project handover while maintaining ISO standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with transmission line projects.
• Knowledge of procurement of capital, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & civil items.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and documentation.
• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical/Civil as required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of all engineering items including capital, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & civil items.
• Maintain ISO standards and procedures.
• Prepare and submit Bills to client office for supply and erection.
• Bills and material reconciliation and project handing over materials.
• Coordinate daily with staff, contractors and residential customers to resolve issues and support new construction plans.
• Conduct regular site observations and provide directions to Contractors to avoid delays.
• Prepare ACE (Accepted Cost Estimate) or zero costing before project start to ensure margin balance.
• Prepare amendments of contracts for both supply and erection portions.
• Ensure QA/QC and documentation alignment; support strategic resource planning and milestone tracking.

Job description

Analyze the project and specify the basic approach to be used.

Procurement of all engineering Items/Raw materials including capital, mechanical, electrical, Instrumentation & civil Items.

Both practical as well as theoretical knowledge of Different Electrical Instruments.

Maintaining the ISO standards and procedures.

Preparing and Submission of Bills to client office for both supply and civil, erection.

Bills and Material Reconciliation,

Preparing and submission of project handing over materials,

Communicated with Staff and Contractors and residential customers on a daily basis and provided solutions for problems and assisted in new construction plans.

Performed regular job site observations to provided directions for all Contractors.

Avoided construction delays by efficiently following throw with all site inspection in a timely manner.

Preparation of Statutory Clearances.

Preparation of ACE (Accepted Cost Estimate) or Zero Costing before commencement of project to ascertain better project margin with balanced proportion of Direct Cost and Overheads.

Preparation of Amendments of the contracts for both supply and erection portion.

Ensure compliance and implementation of QA/QC procedures and documentation. Strategic planning and consulting time and resource management for achieving scheduled milestones as per L2.

Resource Planning and Management.

Preparation of the Deviation Statement.

Key Requirements:

08-12 years of relevant experience, with a focus on the Transmission Line.

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical / Civil
