Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks an Engineer – Plant & Machinery to oversee daily operation and maintenance of construction equipment at the project site. You will ensure equipment readiness, monitor performance, and coordinate with teams and vendors to maintain high availability and safety standards.

Responsibilities include implementing preventive maintenance schedules, tracking fuel usage, and ensuring compliance with OEM guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor qualifications in engineering as listed.
• Experience with site equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of OEM guidelines and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation and upkeep of construction plant and machinery on site.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and checklists with site teams and vendors.
• Monitor fuel consumption, equipment utilization and downtime; take corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines, safety protocols and regulations during handling and operations.
• Assist mobilization/demobilization of equipment and maintain site documentation.

Job Description

The Engineer – Plant & Machinery (P&M) – Site is responsible for managing the daily operation, upkeep, and performance monitoring of construction plant and machinery at the project site. The role ensures equipment readiness, adherence to maintenance schedules, compliance with safety standards, and optimal utilization of machinery to support uninterrupted project execution.

Supervise the operation and maintenance of all construction equipment and machinery at the site, ensuring high availability and performance. ? Implement preventive maintenance schedules and checklists, coordinating servicing activities with site teams and vendors. ? Monitor fuel consumption, equipment utilization, and downtime; take corrective actions to minimize losses. ? Ensure compliance with OEM guidelines, safety protocols, and statutory regulations during equipment handling and operations.

Support in the mobilization and demobilization of equipment at the site, maintaining proper documentation.
