What You’ll Do

This position will be responsible for driving SCM deliverables for the NPI Program for ESA. The resource will engage in Pre and Prolaunch NPI projects for the SCM Workpackage at the project level. Focus areas include early engagement in NPI to independently drive SCM deliverables, analysis of sourcing activities, and support for cost‑out and cost avoidance ideas through resourcing/negotiations in collaboration with the Program Manager, Engineering, Global Category Managers, and the Electrical Americas business team.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for executing sourcing strategy per the Prolaunch activity matrix, leading sourcing at the project level.
• Build SCM strategy early in the NPI process in alignment with SCM policies and Category Management strategy.
• Collaborate proactively with Pune and global engineering teams, Eaton global plants, and global suppliers to achieve cost‑competitive purchasing within stipulated timelines while maintaining quality.
• Supplier engagement: identification, CM alignment, vendor registration, NDA, in-depth RFQ analysis, supplier audits, negotiations, and completion of purchase requisitions.
• Act as a CFT member to manage on‑time implementation and deployment of NPI projects globally at optimum cost and quality, assisting the supplier quality team.
• Support part quality and maintain a supplier continuity plan.
• Drive review cadence with leadership, engineering stakeholders, and project team members; report project status, progress, and pipeline to all stakeholders.
• Work closely with the leadership team on sourcing strategy and risk mitigation (supply chain, logistics, cost, risk).
• Work closely with plant teams to manage material and inventory planning at the plant and supplier, ordering materials in advance, and assist in procurement of capital equipment and evaluation of make‑or‑buy options to ensure optimal capital spend.
• Lead collaboration and engagement of SCM processes such as Should Cost, ESSP, and TCO as per project needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers on product stewardship activities.
• Ensure on‑time delivery (OTD) and first time right (FTR) metrics, and lead process reviews during QMS audits for process adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• 6–9 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain management.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and tools.
• Strong knowledge of the New Product Introduction lifecycle.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
