Job summary

Eaton in India seeks an experienced Busway Design Engineer to translate customer requirements into GA drawings, BOMs and component selections for LV Busway products. You will engage with sales, distributors, and contractors to clarify orders, and lead technical discussions on manufacturing and integration with other Eaton busway plants.

The role requires hands-on design experience with LV Busway products, strong drafting skills in AutoCAD and Inventor, and ability to mentor teammates in layout

Qualifications

• BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4 to 6 years in Busway custom order engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and prepare GA drawings, busway component selections and BOM.
• Consult with sales, distributors and contractors to define order requirements and obtain clarifications.
• Lead technical aspects for sales and shop floor to ensure correct order execution for busway sections.
• Coordinate with other Eaton busway plants for coordinated jobs.
• Provide hands-on design for LV busway custom orders and perform calculations for busbar sizing and enclosure selection.
• Develop complex drawings and BOMs based on established product designs for busway.

What You’ll Do

• "- Understand customer requirements and prepare the GA drawings, Busway component selection and calculations, detailed BOM for given customer requirement in Bidman.
• Consult with Eaton sales, outside distributor and Electrical contractors to define order requirement and getting order clarification from these stakeholders.
• Act as order technical lead for sales and shop floor people to clarify order special requirements and assist shop floor during manufacturing of Busway sections.
• Coordinate with other Eaton busway plants for co-ordination jobs"
• Hands on design experience of LV Busway product custom order engineering.
• Hands on experience in calculations and selections of different Busbar sizing, Enclosure selection & busway accessories.
• Develops a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs for Busway product line.
• Consults with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining special order requirements.
• Coordinates mechanical and electrical interfaces with other Eaton products.
• Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.
• Possesses strong computer skills and proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and other Engineering/Business software applications.
• Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to mentor and coach other team members from team in Busway specification interpretation and in developing special layouts.

Skills

"- Experience in Autodesk Inventor/ProE/AutoCAD

• Experience in PLM software like SAP/Windchill/Enovia and BOM
• Experience in ERP tools like Mapics , POM & AS 400"
