Job summary

GE Vernova in Bengaluru is seeking an Engineer - Inspection Technologies to develop state-of-the-art inspection solutions and data analytics for manufacturing and services across Vernova. You will work on robotic nondestructive inspection and signal processing of NDE sensor data.

Responsibilities include working with field/test data, developing advanced NDE systems, prototyping, exploring autonomous drone-based inspections, and supporting ongoing NDE development with six-sigma/statistical tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/CS) required.
• 1 year of hands-on technical engineering experience (R&D/manufacturing) preferred.
• Solid grasp of sensors, data acquisition and signal processing.
• Hands-on experience in integrating sensors, mechatronics and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team as ONE TEAM.
• Ownership mindset and accountability for tasks.

Job Description Summary

Engineer - Inspection Technologies

This role requires interacting and interfacing with all the verticals within GE Vernova businesses to develop state-of-the-art inspection solutions and advanced data analysis to support manufacturing and services organizations across Vernova. Specifically, the candidate will be working on robotic nondestructive inspection and signal/ image processing of NDE sensor data such as IR thermography, ultrasound, x-ray imaging.

Responsibilities

Work with field and test data from sensors and provide insights through relevant analytics

• Develop and deliver advanced nondestructive evaluation solutions
• Design and develop prototype NDE systems to solve manufacturing quality and services related problems
• Develop technology in emerging nondestructive methodologies such as autonomous drone-based inspections
• Support on-ongoing NDE development efforts with testing and qualification of new inspection modalities with six-sigma /statistical analysis tools.

Required QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in an engineering - mechanical, electrical, electronics or computer science
• 1 year of hands-on technical engineering experience, including internships at R&D/ manufacturing units
• Solid understanding of sensors, data acquisition, signal processing
• Hands-on experience in integrating sensors, mechatronics and inspection equipment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment as “ONE TEAM”
• Demonstrated initiative, accountability and ownership of assigned tasks.
