Job summary

GE Renewable Energy Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking an Engineer for Inspection Technologies to develop advanced nondestructive evaluation solutions and data analysis for manufacturing and service domains. You will work on robotic NDE, signal and image processing of sensor data (IR thermography, ultrasound, X-ray) and help integrate sensors with inspection hardware.

Strong collaboration and hands-on engineering are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/CS).
• 1 year hands-on technical engineering experience, incl. internships at R&D/manufacturing units.
• Solid understanding of sensors, data acquisition and signal processing.
• Hands-on experience integrating sensors, mechatronics and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team (ONE TEAM).
• Curiosity and appreciation for interdisciplinary technologies in product development.
• Creativity and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of NDT techniques (radiography, ultrasound, eddy current).
• Knowledge of six-sigma, machine learning, and CAD integration with inspections.

Responsibilities

Job Description Summary

Engineer - Inspection Technologies This role requires interacting and interfacing with all the verticals within GE Vernova businesses to develop state-of-the‑art inspection solutions and advanced data analysis to support manufacturing and services organizations across Vernova. Specifically, the candidate will be working on robotic nondestructive inspection and signal/ image processing of NDE sensor data such as IR thermography, ultrasound, x-ray imaging.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and deliver advanced nondestructive evaluation solutions


• Design and develop prototype NDE systems to solve manufacturing quality and services related problems


• Develop technology in emerging nondestructive methodologies such as autonomous drone-based inspections


• Support on-ongoing NDE development efforts with testing and qualification of new inspection modalities with six-sigma /statistical analysis tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in an engineering - mechanical, electrical, electronics or computer science


• 1 year of hands‑on technical engineering experience, including internships at R&D/ manufacturing units


• Solid understanding of sensors, data acquisition, signal processing
