Job summary

Insight is seeking a Networking Senior Engineer to design, implement and manage enterprise Cisco Catalyst Center solutions at scale across multiple sites in a hybrid setup. You will lead automation efforts, develop integrations, and guide modernization of the network with intent-based strategies.

The role requires deep experience with Catalyst Center, SD-Access, and network analytics, along with strong scripting and API skills to deliver reliable, scalable networks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Experience with large-scale, multi-site Catalyst Center deployments.
• Proficiency with IBN concepts and SD-Access fabric implementations.
• Deep understanding of Catalyst Center architecture and deployment models.

Responsibilities

• Architect Catalyst Center clusters, HA setups, IBN strategies, site hierarchies and SD-Access fabrics.
• Lead Catalyst Center deployment, onboarding, provisioning, inventory, lifecycle management and integrations.
• Develop automation using APIs, scripting, Ansible, Terraform, YANG, NETCONF/RESTCONF, and CI/CD.
• Monitor network health, perform root-cause analysis and capacity planning; enforce security controls.
• Mentor engineers and engage stakeholders to drive network transformation.

About the role

As a Networking Senior Engineer - Cisco Catalyst Center Specialization, you will design, implement, and manage enterprise Cisco Catalyst Center solutions that enable intent‑based networking, automation, assurance, and security at scale. We will count on you to lead multi‑site deployments, automation and analytics initiatives, complex troubleshooting, and technical guidance for modern network transformation. Along the way, you will get to:

• Architect Catalyst Center clusters, high‑availability setups, intent‑based networking strategies, site hierarchies, SD-Access fabrics, integrations, and technical documentation.
• Lead Catalyst Center deployment, onboarding, provisioning, inventory, lifecycle management, assurance policies, performance baselines, and third‑party integrations.
• Develop automation using Intent, Northbound, and REST APIs, scripting, Ansible, Terraform, YANG, NETCONF/RESTCONF, and CI/CD configuration practices.
• Monitor network health and compliance, perform root cause analysis and capacity planning, implement segmentation and security controls, mentor engineers, and engage stakeholders. to four responsibilities

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Minimum 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
• Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) design, implementation, and administration
• Demonstrated experience with large‑scale, multi‑site Catalyst Center deployments
• Proven experience with Software‑Defined Access (SD‑Access) fabric implementations
• Advanced knowledge of Catalyst Center architecture, components, and deployment models
• Deep understanding of intent‑based networking (IBN) concepts and implementation
• Proficiency in Software‑Defined Access (SD‑Access) and fabric architectures
• Strong knowledge of network assurance and analytics capabilities
• Experience with Catalyst Center APIs (REST, Intent APIs, Northbound APIs)
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash)
• Experience with network automation tools and frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Knowledge of YANG models and NETCONF/RESTCONF protocols
• Understanding of SD‑WAN integration with Catalyst Center
• Experience with network device management and lifecycle operations
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
