Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Sr. Engineer – Product Design to lead design and development of DC power systems for telecom products. You will own projects end-to-end, estimate, plan, and coordinate with sub-ordinates to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

The role requires 5–8 years in New Product Design, strong Creo CAD (sheet metal/bus bar) expertise, and experience with PDM/PLM tools like Oracle PLM. Excellent English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years in New Product Design.
• Proficiency with Creo for sheet metal and bus bar design.
• Experience with part & assembly modelling and drafting.
• Experience with large Creo assemblies and modifications.
• Knowledge of Oracle PLM or similar PLM tool.
• Understanding of material selection and sheet metal processes.
• Experience designing Telecom/Electrical Enclosure products.
• DFMEA/DFMA knowledge desirable.
• Strong English communication and teamwork.

Job Description forSr. Engineer – Product Design

Job Description:

To Design and Develop DC Power System for Telecommunication Products. He / She will be working on New product Development projects, VA/VE Projects & Quality Improvement projects as required. He / She will take complete responsibility of project execution from end to end and deliver as per customer need. He / She needs to Estimate, Plan, co-ordinate and execute projects along with sub-ordinates to meet deadlines as per agreement. He / She will be in coordination with manager/ lead Engineers projects for Design and Development. Person should independently conduct work product reviews, Analytical calculations and actively participate in Design Reviews. Being part of Global Engineering Function, he / she is expected to maintain desired performance (quality & schedule adherence) levels set by organization and report as per defined communication plan.

Job Specification:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in New Product Design Is must.
• Excellent command on Creo into sheet metal/bus bar domain is must.
• Experience on Part & Assembly Modelling, Drafting and Engineering Change Orders is required.
• Experience in handling large Creo CAD assemblies and manage modifications is desirable.
• Experience on any PDM/PLM tools like Oracle PLM
• Knowledge of material selection & Sheet metal manufacturing processes is required.
• Experience on design of Telecom/Electrical/Electronic Enclosure Product is preferable
• Experience in doing Quality checks, conducting DFMEA & DFMA of Product assembly is desirable
• Experience in Value Engineering and Value Analysis projects is added advantage
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and timely manner
• Handle projects independently and guide team members as needed
• Good Interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
